Our team
In May 2006, Heinrich Böll Foundation’s Regional Office for Southeastern Europe moved from Sarajevo to Belgrade, where it was located for seven years, covering Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. In 2010, our office was transformed into the Heinrich Böll Foundation's Regional Office in Belgrade, responsible for the Foundation’s work in Serbia, Kosovo and Montenegro.
As part of our activities’ main pillars (Democracy & Development, Energy & Environment, Education & Culture, and Europe) we aim to strengthen civil society, enhance the dialogue between the countries of the region and the European Union, enhance the observance and protection of human rights, promote gender equality and women’s participation in politics and the society, institution-building based on the rule of law, and support environmental policies and sustainable development.
Our 9-member team conducts its activities independently or in cooperation with other organizations, our project partners, by means of support to specific projects, conferences, forums, workshops, trainings, study visits and exchange programs, political and academic expertise, studies and publications.
