Environmental Issues Perceptions 2021

The Heinrich Bell Foundation, in cooperation with IPSOS, conducted a public opinion poll on the environment and ecology in late October and early November. The research topics were: ecology, air and water pollution, waste management, climate change, environmental priorities and solving environmental problems.

For the citizens of Serbia, environmental issues are among 4 of the 6 priorities across the country. Concerns about climate change unite all demographic groups, and environmental problems are assessed as a national priority, regardless of age, political orientation or place of residence. According to the respondents, economic and environmental development should correspond to each other, while most respondents are ready to participate independently in solving environmental problems.
