Scholarships for Studies in Germany
Students and postgraduates who contribute positive impacts on the green project’s goals, share the basic values of the Heinrich Böll Foundation, achieve exceptional academic results in all expert fields and are socially and politically engaged. Besides the hitherto emphasis on humanities and social sciences, arts and culture, scholarships are granted to students of economics, law, engineering, mathematics and journalism.
The Heinrich Böll Foundation initiates programs based on fundamental values, thus inciting international exchange of thought, intercultural dialogue and networking. The program connects students from all around the world. The scholarship recipients are expected to achieve exceptional academic results and to be socially and politically engaged; doctoral students are expected to be open to unconventional, innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to scientific work.
Excellent academic results, as well as socio-political engagement. In the case of doctoral studies, the quality of the paper’s plan is also of significance. The candidate selection process consists of three stages: written application, interview with the Foundation’s academic commissioner and participation in the selection workshop including individual interviews and group discussion.
The granting of scholarships is subject to decision by the selection commission consisting of the vastly experienced academic teaching staff, experts from the fields of politics, economy and society, persons engaged in the green network, alumni, as well as the Curriculum Office associates.
